Welcome to the new and improved Baruch Senior Ministries website!

04/01/2011

As Founder and President of Baruch, I hope that you will find the information on this site helpful. Take some time to learn about our organization, our mission and the resources we have. We are here to serve – our residents and their families, our staff, and the communities we live in. Enjoy!

Baruch has had a significant role in the development of Cedar Cove in Cedarville, Michigan, and we are pleased to announce an expansion at that location. Seven new special care beds and two two-bedroom independent living units are being built, along with additional community meeting and wellness space. Take a look at the current construction status (our groundbreaking).

This fall we had the pleasure of the services of two interns from the Business School at Calvin College. Brian VanEck and Bryan Van Harn have spent considerable time with us, learning about our industry and services, and interviewing Board members and key administrative staff. They then helped develop updates to our strategic plan which were discussed at our December Board meeting. The depth of their preparation was a great tool in the Board discussions, and we expect to finalize the plan in the next quarter. We’ve also had several Calvin students working with us to draft an annual report for 2010. This project will be completed soon, so be on the alert for the final product in February or early March.

Pastor Rick and I are working on a brief document to explain the origin of our name, and how it relates to our mission. Baruch was an interesting historical figure. We’ve done considerable research and are anxious to share the results with you – watch for a release in the early part of 2011.

Congratulations to the entire Baruch team on a very successful 2010 – we look forward to God’s guidance and blessing as we enter 2011.
