Mark your Calendars for the 3rd Annual Biking for Baruch Event!

Fundraiser returns on July 20, 2013

It is definitely time to start thinking spring and warm weather! With that in mind, the 2013 edition of Biking for Baruch will be held on Saturday, July 20 (rain date July 27). Building upon the success of our previous years’ events, we are hoping to make this year’s ride even bigger and better, with more participants and more funds raised for Baruch Senior Ministries and our local facilities. Biking for Baruch is not a race….it is a pledged bike ride with the emphasis on the benefits of riding, being outdoors with your friends and family, and raising funds for Baruch. The ride will again take place primarily on the Fred Meijer White Pine Trail, where participants will be able to decide their own ride, one mile at a time. So, whether you’re a part-time pedaler or a seasoned rider, you can bike for Baruch. You decide your ride, one mile at a time – you can ride 1 mile, 100 miles, or any distance in between!

Our riders are strongly encouraged to ask friends and family to donate per mile they ride or to give a flat pledge to support their efforts and help raise money for Baruch. The pledge money that you raise can be contributed to Baruch to support the programs and services of all of our assisted living facilities, or you can designate the pledges to a specific Baruch facility of your choosing. So, if you have a family member or friend that has a connection with one of our facilities (i.e. current/former resident, current/former employee, etc…), the pledges that you are able to raise can directly benefit that facility.

Mark your calendars and start spreading the word to other riders and supporters about the 2013 Biking for Baruch fundraiser. We hope that all of you will be able to join us for a fun family event on July 20. More details and registration information will be available in the coming weeks, but hopefully you can start making plans now and help us to make this year’s event the biggest and best yet!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
