Baruch Senior Ministries Milestones
Since 1997, Baruch Senior Ministries has opened new assisted living communities, assumed management of existing assisted living communities, held fund raising events to support our mission, and helped local communities start down the path of opening assisted living homes. Below are just a few of the milestones we have had in our history.
1997
- Receives IRS tax exempt status
- Formed Baruch SLS, Inc, doing business as Baruch Senior Ministries
1998
- First major fundraiser event with Muhammad Ali takes place in Buchanan, MI
2001
- FountainView Assisted Living in Coopersville, MI, becomes first Baruch facility
2004
- Forms Cedarville Commons to develop facility in Cedarville, MI
2005
- Fountain View Retirement Village in Grant, MI joins Baruch
2006
- Acquired Georgetown & Cambridge Manors in Grandville, MI
- Acquired Yorkshire & Stonebridge Manors in Walker, MI
2008
- Signed agreement to manage Hume Home in Muskegon, MI
2009
- Acquired Lakeshore Assisted Living Homes in Grand Haven, MI
- Acquired Sunnyside Senior Living in Cadillac, MI
- Acquired Stone Crest Assisted Living in Freeland, MI
2010
- Full time chaplain joins Baruch staff
- Volunteer Coordinator joins staff
2011
- Community Outreach Manager joins staff
